    I am on PC, windows 11, using the Xbox app with Gamepass Ultimate. For a while I've had an issue where three game did not install correctly, Will of the Wisps, Psychonauts 2, and Dead Cells. The former two i managed to get around by installing via the microsoft store, though even after that the xbox app would show them as "downloading 0%", stuck at 0B/S, meanwhile Dead Cells I cannot install at all (though i had it installed previously? I made the mistake of cancelling a broken download, which uninstalled the game and now I can no longer install it). After I finished the games and uninstalled them, an update with the xbox app came, and now Will of the Wisps is stuck in the install queue. If I tried to cancel or pause, it would get stuck at "pausing" or "cancelling", never completing either. Another update came by, and now if i try to do the same it just flickers back to downloading, still stuck at 0%. I have reinstalled the game through the microsoft store and then uninstalled it through settings, but that hasn't fixed the issue.

    I have tried everything in advanced options for the xbox app, including terminating, repairing, resetting, and then uninstalling, but to no avail. I've previously went as far as reinstalling windows 11 and removing apps, and that still did not fix the issue.

    Curiously, only these 3 specific games seem to be affected, in a library of 49 currently installed games, including a few EA and Ubisoft games.

    That is a good question, Xbox app does not have the same option as the Steam platform in regard to the clear download cache, instead, the app has a repair option.

    I have recently resolved a similar case like this, the gamer had decided to reformat the C: Drive where the Windows was installed then downloaded the Xbox app and surprisingly it did fix the Xbox game pass game installation error.

    Kindly try to do the same but please make sure to back up your files before proceeding with the reformat.

    There was a windows update but it didn't fix my issue. Video driver is fine, no updates for gaming service but took the steps in your link to reinstall it. Did not fix the issue. I don't suppose the Xbox app has something like steam's "clear download cache" button?

    Kindly make sure to update your Windows, Device Drivers and Xbox gaming services, here's how:

    For Windows:

    Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.

    On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.

    On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available for your device.

    Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.

    For Device Drivers:

    Once it's done, try to check if the installation or the cancellation of the installation works in the Xbox app.
