Ori and the Will O the wisps stuck in scenery on XBox One

So I just bought Ori and the Will O the Wisps having really enjoyed Ori and the Blind forest.

Just less than an hour into the game I seem to be stuck in the scenery above the game play area.

In this Start position Ori is pretty much invisible hidden behind black leaves. With random jumping I can move left or right occasionally catching glimpses of Ori through the dark leaves above the game play area.

If I move left Ori eventually drops into a dip in the scenery (still above the gameplay area) from where he can't jump or do anything. The only thing I can do is exit and restart.

If I move right Ori eventually hits a point where the screen completely changes to black, blue and grey columns about a third of the screen each and Ori falls down to put me back in the
Start position.

Exiting and going back to the save puts me back in the Start position. It seems impossible to progress?

Is this a known bug ... How do I report it ...
