Ori and the blind forest (Def. Edition) - game stuttering during explosions

Hi,

On my Win10, Ori Definitive Edition (and also the normal version) is stuttering like hell, when explosions happen. Going down to a few FPS. I tried soooo many options. Nothing helped.

Nvidia Geforce GTX 960. Newest drivers.

What can I do?

All movies are running smoothly in 4K (2160p), 60 Hz - it is not the cable and not the power of the PC, I am sure - all other games run flawless. And I even reduced the resolution to 1024 for testing - stuttering, whenever an explosions occurs. But I cannot
reduce gfx quality to reduce the needed power for explosions.

Hey Diego,

Unfortunately. nothing (really nothing) helped. I have a normal HDMI cable, which is working great for the connection to the 4K TV with 60 Hz.

Any other tipps?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to help.

What type of cable are you connecting your monitor to your graphics card? Have you tried a replacement cable?

I recommend resetting or repairing the app by trying the following steps:

Select the Start button, then select
Settings > Apps > Apps & features.

Select the app you want to fix.

Select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). On the page that opens, select
Repair if it's available. If it isn't available or doesn't fix the problem, select
Reset.

If that does not help then you can try re-installing the game. You can also look in the game settings for a display option regarding V-sync or vertical sync and turn that on. That should help with stuttering or screen tearing by matching the refresh
rate processed in the GPU with the refresh rate your monitor displays.

Windows 10 is updating it self whenever it wants.

Newest nVidia drivers installed.

DirectX 12.

WIll try the clean boot tomorrow.

Where are these settings for the Ori game (you asked "Does the game have the options to customize your graphic settings or, or does it let you choose between medium and high graphics.")?

I think in the game itself there are no settings like this.

Windows 10 is up to date. Also, you can try preforming
a clean boot and launch the game. Which graphic settings are you using to play the game? Does the game have the options to customize your graphic settings or, or does it let you choose between medium and high graphics. We recommend changing the graphics
settings in the game if possible to find out if the game stutters under these circumstances. Be sure to let us know the results!
