Ori 2 can't be installed, uninstalled, or launched? Weird problem with Xbox beta app on...

I'm having trouble launching Ori and the Will of the Wisps via Xbox's beta app on Windows 10. My machine more than meets the specs for it. I am subscribed to Game Pass and can launch other games (Mother Russia Bleeds, Indivisible, Pathologic 2, etc.).

Ori and the Will of the Wisps launched fine earlier today. I played it for a couple hours. Then around 10 PM tonight an 8.3 gigabyte update appeared and took forever to download.

Ever since, the game has behaved strangely.

When I clicked to launch it, the Xbox app disappeared as though about to launch the game, as it does when it launches other titles. But it didn't launch Ori 2.

I rebooted my computer. Nothing changed.

I tried to uninstall the game. It never formally showed the game uninstalling the way it does with other titles.

The store page now shows an Install option. When I click "Install" on the store page, nothing happens. It keeps giving me that Install option.

In my games list, Ori 2 is in my "queue" but with no option to redownload it. In fact, the Xbox app gives me the option to launch it, as though I still have it downloaded. If I click to launch it, the Xbox app disappears again, as though loading. It never
loads the game.

The app also gives me the option to "uninstall," although if I click this, literally nothing happens.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox app itself. This changed nothing.

I have tried launching other games again. They all work fine. It is just this one title, seemingly after tonight's update.
