    Orange brick, the new red ring?


    My xbox one system is on stuck on standby. That is the answer I have gotten from xbox support. It won't turn on or eject my game. I have tried changing the power brick, holding the power button down, unplugging everything draining the power then turning
    it back on. Nothing works. I bought a day one console. I am now wondering how common this issue is. I remember when the 360 came out and I had to send back like four of them because of the red ring. Microsoft says my warranty is out and I will have to pay
    to have this fixed. The system is barely a year and a half old. If this is a common issue I think microsoft should own up to it and fix it like they did with the red ring. I don't want to switch systems but I cannot afford to continually pay to fix a faulty
    game console. Please let me know how common this is and if there is any fix besides sending MS my system back and paying them to fix it.

    my power brick

    my power brick goes orange then when you turn it on it does not turn on. then you switch the power brick off it stays orange then it goes red. I cant get inside the power brick to repair it. Can someone help me?

    Flashing lights on power-down

    if it orange it means ur xbox is off, all do that, on your power brick, they put the color means on it,

    green = power is good

    orange= standby

    red= fault alarm

    A solid red ring is normally because of a lack of power. I'd go as far as saying all you'll need is a new power brick.

    You could try, but I don't believe it's the power brick that's the issue. When the console is turned on, the power brick should be green. When the console is turned off the power brick should display an orange color. If it was flashing orange, red, or no
    light then there would be a problem.

    EDIT: to consolidate this into one thread i will add this here. the power brick has a status LED when it is in use, and when your console is on, it should always be green only. if it is orange, flashing orange, or even red while your console is on and in
    operation, it means there is a problem in the power supply or the outlet itself or you have too many things running on a current tap. if you get the three-red ring of death, check your power supply LED. i will bet it is orange or even red. meaning faulty
