Option to play voice threw speaks without turning on the xbox kinect ????

I own 2 Kinects. The one in my bedroom is sitting on my floor and picks up all my voice commands. Without yelling or speaking above my normal speaking voice too. I don't have the space to play any games in my bedroom let alone using hand gestures to control
the dashboard. I'm sure Kinect 2.0 will work the same.

If Microsoft allows users to use voice commands without a Kinect then that's it for the Kinect, it's basically dead. The main selling point of the Kinect is voice commands.

I have an Xbox One and I have my Kinect plugged in. I use the Kinect whenever my Xbox One is turned on because for the most part it's quicker and easier navigating the UI with my voice.

Well then it's a good thing you can turn the console on without Kinect.

Are you sure your preferences are set to the Kinect?

Press the guide button and go all the way to the right.

Hit preferences and go to voice. The kinect voice options should be there.

In your options is a setting, under the save settings, to turn on kinect microphone commands.

They take a bit of getting used to. I personally don't use the right voice tones to work them properly, but when used right you can actually speak each shout without needed to equip it, can quick save, and even give direct commands to followers.
