Option to connect to 5ghz or 2.4ghz

Discus and support Option to connect to 5ghz or 2.4ghz in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; Why is it this is still not an option.     Why is it this is still not an option. Xbox by default will use the inferior 2.4g they should give the option like how ps5 does. I don't wanna disable 2.4ghz because I have some older devices which would make them not able to connect if I only broadcasted on 5ghz

    great news indeed! 2.4ghz is such a garbage spectrum now and it is good to know that 5ghz is an option for the X1. 5ghz isn't used near me that I can see, but 2.4ghz is packed full of SSID's.

    You cannot force the console to use only 5Ghz. But what you could do - if possible by your router - is to setup different names and passwords for the 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz connection. Then, setup only the 5Ghz connection on the console. It will only connect to it then.

    If your router doesn't support this, then the only other option would be to disable the 2.4Ghz network.

    Internet Problems

    The Xbox 360 internal wireless adapters do not support 5Ghz wifi bands, only 2.4Ghz.

    The Black Xbox 360 external N wifi adapter supports 5Ghz.

    5Ghz may support higher bandwidth (only helpful for LAN transfers and fiber/gigabit connections) but 2.4Ghz has more range.
