    Optical Switch/splitter

ok so I have a Xbox one and Xbox 360 which I want to connect to my turtle beach x Ray transmitter so I can switch between hearing sound on either console. My question is since the transmitter takes input and I assume the consoles give out put what do I
need to connect both consoles to the one transmitter so I can hear what is going on from both without having to constantly switch the cable? do I need a optical switch or a optical splitter? What are the differences between the two? Thank you in advance.

    :)

3x optical cables, optical splitter or switch. One cable form ps3 to splitter/switch, one cable from 360 to splitter/switch and one cable from splitter/switch to headset reciever.

The blue tooth on the headset should have a button for switching which blue tooth device your paired to (e.g ps3 and mobile or ps3 and 360 blue tooth dongle). Press that for which console your using.

I have the px5's which is the same set up.

A question about Xbox One and PS4 controllers, Astro A50 headsets, plus more. Please help.

    1. Already answered.

    2. Splitter? Like a hub or switch? Don't be afraid of wireless, otherwise of you need wired, just get a good router.

    3. My experience with optical splitters has been horrible, not one of them worked reliably. As for optical out of the TV itself, be sure that you are getting more then stereo sound, in the majority of most cases the TV will not output surround sound via optical unless it is from a broadcast source (i.e. the TV will not take a surround signal from HDMI input and pass it through to the optical).

Perhpas you could get an optical splitter and have the optical lead coming out of the xbox going into a splitter then the two optical leads coming out of the other side of the splitter would then go into the seprate wireless box for each of the seprate headsets.
That would work for sound at least.

Can't use 5.1 Surround through TV in 4K

    Hi

If you carry out an internet search it may be possible for you to purchase an optical splitter similar to the one attached below that should allow you to connect the Optical feed from your Xbox One to your sound bar along with the optical feed from your
television and you then just need to switch between the two as required.
