    OPTICAL PORT ISSUES


    My optical port on my xbox one isnt working. At first I thought it was my optical cable, but then I plugged it into my xbox 360 and it worked. Please help!

    I'm thinking my Xbox One optical port is bad, how can I test this? If i plug the toslink cable in the back on the XB1 the other end should light up, correct?

    Should be a red light, can be dim or bright. Use a piece of white paper to clearly see it.

    The Xbox1's optical port has to be turned on in settings. If I remember correctly, I haven't tried because my headphones are connected to TVs optical port, but now that Xbox1 multitasks very well I will use netflix on Xbox1 and connect my soundbar back to
    the TVs optical port, and headphones to Xbox1s optical since I only use when gaming. Hope this helps
