OPTICAL PORT ISSUES : controled by XboxOne but no sound.

    Hi,

I just set up my XboxOne and I have an issue I don't manage to solve :

My sound bar is connected to the optical port, the XboxOne can controle it (set it on and off, up and down the volume) but i can't have any sound.

i tried all the settings i have find here : (Choosing Speaker Audio Settings on Xbox One) but nothing helped me.

Can anyone of you help me ?

    (sorry for my poor english.)

    :)

HDMI with opitcal out sound help

i got HDMI to tv and sound works through the HDMI to tv

but i want to use the optical out plug above the HDMI port . not the cable with blue red green. the other cable with only optical and red white ports

for surround sound. the red white ports to surround sound work. but the optical port wont work. i hooked up the optical to the dvd player and the sound works

its not the optical cable or the surround sound box. i tried all the audio settings in the dashboard and cleared the system cache and nothing.

so im thinking the optical port on the xbox is broken unless im missing something. when i trun the sound all the way up the only sound that comes out of the xbox

optical port is a low "poping" sound every 20 seconds.

if anyone has an idea i can try please let me know thank you.

Make sure your cable isn't damaged, recheck your audio setting, if your sound bar as optical in/out ports make sure you are using the right one.

  5. Also make sure you have the correct output selected, not all sound bars support dts or dolby and you may be stuck with stereo uncompressed.

    X1 usb to analog audio?

It will not work as the device is not supported on the Xbox for one. The sound is all digital on the Xbox One and there is no support for sending the sound through USB. Sound signals are only transmitted through the HDMI port, optical port, and through
the controllers via the headset adapter. If you find a converter for optical or HDMI to analog, those will probably work.
