Optical output not working

Discus and support Optical output not working in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; so after the recent update my Philips sound bar does not work everything was working perfectly fine before I've been in contact with Philips they say...     Optical output not working


    so after the recent update my Philips sound bar does not work everything was working perfectly fine before I've been in contact with Philips they say it's an Xbox problem Xbox say it's not a problem with them but I am sure this has something to do with the
    update and the optical output , will it be fixed or do I need a new sound system?

    Video not working

    Having trouble with xbox one, bought 2 years ago(ish). Audio and video not working from HDMI output. Optical output for sound still working. Tried standard trouble shooting, have 2 displays, 3 wires, seems like the xbox is the issue. Are there any dl's
    or anything that can be done or does it need to be serviced?

    Optical output not working

    Hello, did you check that optical audio output hasn't been turned off on the Xbox at all.

    You will find that in settings/ all settings/ display & sound/ Audio output.

    HDMI ARC & 7.1 Dolby

    I believe the only way to get DD to work is from the optical output on the console.

    Only the new Slim Xbox 360 has Optical output. :/

    they had a small short cable that plugged into the AV out jack that had red/white RCA analog out and an optical jack next to it for use with the HDMI jack. and if you get the HD component cable it had a jack for optical as well.
