Opitcal drive Constant loud drone

starting two weeks ago, any time a disc is in the optical drive, there is a constant very load drone coming from it. It makes this even if the system is in stand by mode. It still plays blu rays and games but the noise is unbearable. I have tried to put
in a service request but xbox.com won't let me register my system. I need help here.

Who is your Favorite and Most Hated character?

My favorite is probably Griffin. The stuff he says is hilarious. Least favorite is probably the savage drone. He's loud af.

Xbox One X Fan sounds way louder than usual

Ok I moved it and it has not shut off sense but the Xbox One X Fan noise is not constant and is still loud maybe not as loud as a jet engine like I describe before but still loud way louder than my Xbox One S and OG Xbox One, it would have a fan burst
when I'm playing which is loud and annoying and the fan noise would never be at a constant noise level while I'm playing a game.

It sounds like the beginning of the end for your disc drive. Mine did the same thing, now it has finally kicked the bucket. I am one month out of warranty and they want me to pay $125 to have it fixed. Thanks Microsoft.

Is your console making a loud noise when its loading a game? Or is it a constant loud noise even when it's not processing anything.

Sometimes it is common for the console to make a noise when loading some games. But if it is a constant noise and your console is under warranty you may lodge a request for a repair here at Device
support

I have two E consoles and do not have this issue, it must be an isolated issue. If you are sure there's no dust, the only other action you can take is to send it in for maintenance. Since you got it in Nov of 2013, assuming it's new, it is still under warranty.
If it's used, this is probably why they sold it.

So again, I suggest sending it to get repaired.
