    Opinion about Minecraft RTX beta performances


    Hi, I tried for an hour the rtx beta of Minecraft and I felt really bad about performances. I focused on the rooms map by Nvidia because I got way more different fps in base of the room I was in.

    I think that the more stressful things in this beta are reflection. In fact, in the main room I got 35/40ish fps.

    What are your impressions about performances? Is it worth playing minecraft with low fps but with ray tracing?

    Imo ray tracing as it was in nvidia maps is too heavy to be enabled in a real world. I'd rather play with higher fps but less stunning effects.

    I am running:

    Latest Nvidia drivers

    Rtx 2080 oc

    i7-8700k@5.0GHz

    32GB RAM

    Xbox Insider Hub account locked with minecraft still in beta

    I have found a solution. After I deleted my original insider account I created a new one and joined the rtx minecraft beta other than the nether beta which was what I was in. I then updated minecraft to rtx and unenrolled and reverted back to the normal
    minecraft version.

    Hi Exterm1nat

    You need to enroll into the game beta on the Xbox insider hub on your PC, and then make sure to go into the manage section of that minecraft beta, and select the RTX version.

    make sure to uninstall your current version of Minecraft after saving all your worlds. All the maps you need to download ingame in the market, they are all free and specifically say RTX
