    Opening ports/Port forwarding


    I have had Windstream as my internet provider most of my life. Reliable but not too good. Somewhat reliable anyways. I've recently not been able to play any games due to the internet speeds. I load into overwatch and can play but no character models load. It's on all games. I fooled around with some router settings. Not sure if I did it right. Any tips? One thing I wasn't sure on was the Lan port ranges. It had a start and end. I made them the same number. Not sure if that's right but any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    I use my router's DMZ zone, instead of forwarding ports to all ports, this function already leaves any port that the IP requires. Just get the console IP that your router assigned to the console in the DHCP session put it in the indicated field and save it.

    Port forwarding must be enabled on the TCP port 80.

    Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP and TCP port 3074.

    Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP port 88

    Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP and TCP port 53

    Port forwarding must be enabled on the TCP port 443

    Nevermind, port forwarding is also working. So DMZ and port forwarding both open the ports.

    The way to configure a port forwarding depends on each model of router, if your router asks you for internal and external ports, the ones you must open for Xbox Live are the external ones and they are the ones that appear in this link

    Port triggering is not working on most routers, as most of the forward the opened ports to the device that opened the ports.
