Opened Xbox one and doesn't want to work.

i just bought my Xbox yesterday, I went home set it up then turned it on. btw I haven't even put in my information and so and so on yet. So it shows the Xbox logo it stays there for about 3-5 seconds then it goes blank on my tv and says check signal cable.
Then maybe 2-3 seconds later it goes back to the Xbox logo then it goes back to the blank tv It'll do it over and over. I already booted it researched everywhere... I just want to play on my Xbox....

tbh, it is better chat doesn't work through your Kinect. No one really wants to hear discussions about what people are having for dinner that night.

The Xbox One comes with an audio headset by default. Or at least there was one in the box when I opened mine anyway.

Yeezy, if your console is malfunctioning in anyway, especially to where you can't use it, you should consider sending it in for repair. I have placed a link below that will walk you through the repair Process through Microsoft. Good Luck!

If you are already having issues with this purchase you should return it to the retailer for an exchange.

 

Are you certain you've plugged all of the cords properly?

 

Try to keep the console on for a certain amount of time (30 Minutes average) and see if it updates the display.

If it doesn't work it's best to listen to Genesis1953 (The Previous post) and get the replacement. Also see if the retailer can, test the console before sending you off.

I doesn't seem like it's the cords it seems like it's the display not updating properly as i suggested wait till the display updates itself. Without rebooting or checking cords and wires if it doesn't update then listen to Genesis.

Another option is a offline diagnostic tool which does seem to resolve a lot of problems.

Or a Power cycle
that also seems to fix some things.
