    I recently got an Xbox series s it was all brand new in the outside and the seal was new, and when I open it up to check their was a roundish grey area in the motherboard, which I believe was causing my Xbox to turn off everytime I press the on button. Does Microsoft still repair open consoles? (I may have cause like very little minor scratches on the corner of the motherboard but that didn’t seem to cause any harm as the console kept doing the same thing, turning off everytime I pressed the on button.)

    Grey is a normal color. Corrosion and damage is usually green

    In the United States sticker warranties no longer violate the warranty, but if you did any damage would would be responsible for it. I cannot make a guess whether or not the scratches would apply, as I do not work for, and am not authorized to speak for repair

    Im sure it will be easy to fix the problem if the Kinectt breaks.

    First of Microsoft loves their Kinect which means they will gladly help you out.

    You will send it in.

    But it will probably not take that long like an Xbox does when you send it to the repair service.

    They will probably send you a new Kinect.

    I never had any of my Kinects break and I have the last generation Kinect like all of you lol

    Once you break open either a controller or console you will not be able to send it in for a repair.

    It breaks (overheats and gets the 2 red lights), you send it off to get fixed and they send it straight back without touching it.

    Some of those mods look like you need to play around with the inner workings of the console. That means opening the case and breaking the seal. Break the seal and your warrenty is instantly voided.

    Do you think it would have been too much for Microsoft to send me a messgae and ask me if i wanted to preorder a new console before opening it up to scalpers? Lets see, this customer has been with us for two decades and spends money all the time, maybe we
