    Open NAT, worse connection - help!


    Hi guys. The problem we are having seems to be different to most I can find.

    We have two XB1's connected wirelessly to a BT home hub router on fibre optic broadband. For the last few months while playing COD Ghosts both consoles have shown Moderate NAT but been working fine.

    Last night when turning on the consoles as normal, both are showing an Open NAT. In theory this should be a good/better thing right? Well now we cannot join the same lobby on Ghosts to play games. Any invites sent do not appear automatically on the other
    console. When checking the notifications tab on the home screen an invite can be found but the only option is to click "launch" but nothing happens. If either player tries to "join game" directly it fails and a no valid game session note appears.

    Please help shed some light on this. We just want to play but how do you force a moderate connection?

    NAT type open on console, STRICT on cod AW what can I do

    Having an open NAT doesnt necessarily help with in game "connections" nor LAG. Open NAT will help joining parties and finding some games, but overall connection issues will remain.

    Xbox connection issues HELP!!!

    Are you sharing internet connection? Because this "both have open NAT types" sounds like you are sharing internet.

    Open NAT, worse connection - help!

    Try making again a test connection. I think amybe some of your friends are getting a strict NAT. Ask to your friends to do this :

    Test connection - after completed don't press A.

    Press instead LB,RB, LT,RT at the same time.

    after receive the info then press A.

    Let us know if that solved your issues.

    So after playing this morning on moderate and having no lag or any issues what so ever, and then playing this afternoon and having hit marker after hit marker, I have come to my own conclusion and feel that if my NAT was always moderate i would enjoy this
    game better. I would like to know why my NAT is going from open to moderate and back to open again every day in the first place. This just started a week ago. This game is just backwards. Better connection I have, the worse I play. Worse connection, better

    Having problems with teammates/opponents lagging and the game feeling laggy when playing! What could be the case?

    Yes 66 is ok but other friends with worse connections have pings of 20 or sooo....so i just think its weird that its alwys 66.... i have an open nat after i opened the ports ;) more tips? Would love to enjoy cod again.

    Connection help

    Since you've got Halo 4, chuck it in and let it tell you what your NAT type is. If it's Open, you shouldn't have any problems (though you can actually have a few problems). If it's Moderate you can only connect to other Moderate or Open players and Strict
    NAT players can only connect to Open NAT players.

    .

    If your NAT type is Open, tell them to check theirs. If it isn't, look into opening yours, it really does help.
