    Open NAT Type but network is behind firewall


    Alright, so I recently purchased and Xbox One. I first had problems trying to join a match in the Master Chief Collection and I thought it was just the game. But I tried to join a friend's party and I couldn't talk or hear anyone talk. I checked my network
    settings and saw my NAT was strict. I forwarded the specified ports and opened it and everything was fine for a couple of hours.

    Later I had trouble connecting again so I checked my settings and they still said my NAT was open, so I ran a multiplayer connection test and got the error that my Xbox could not obtain a Teredo IP Address. I checked the support article and it just told
    me how to open my NAT, which I had already done. My detailed NAT says that my network is behind a firewall. My router is an Apple AirPort Extreme. I've never had this problem in this house before, my 360 had zero problems last time I came home, this has only
    occurred since I bought my Xbox One.

    Forgot to mention that my NAT type isn't being displayed and in the detailed network statistics the message "Your network is behind a firewall (or not connected)."

    Need help with my NAT type

    I have been trying everything to get my NAT type open but nothing works because no one has the same NAT type as mine:

    NAT type: Strict

    Your network is behind a port-symmetric NAT

    its very frustrating having a strict NAT type so please help

    Sorry to hear about the the connection issues! Let's start by enabling Teredo tunneling on your Apple Airport Extreme. To do so, follow the steps listed on our

    Apple Airport Extreme Known Issues post!

    Follow the steps in that link to allow Teredo tunneling and post back to let us know if that helps! Open NAT Type but network is behind firewall :)

    I keep having NAT issues... I followed this and it opened my NAT but it keeps saying in my Detailed NAT information: Your network is behind a firewall. HELP.

    Right, I've checked my NAT type on my console and it says that "your network is behind a firewall(or not connected). I hadn't realized that I can't play multiplayer aswell, until yesterday. When I check my multiplayer connection it says it can't get a Teredo
    IP address. I've tried enabling and disabling UPnP but the same message still appears. My friend's NAT types are all open.
