    Trying to make do with a Mobile Hotspot

    Phone is an Xperia XA2.

    I can connect it fine, talk to peeps in party chat, send messages. I can download games (not that I am otherwise no data XD)

    In terms of matchmaking, I find it strange that I can connect to Battlefield 1 servers and go for however long I decide to play BF1 for on my Mobile hotspot with no connection issues.

    However, Forza 7? I can connect to friends in private lobbies but public ones? Not a chance.

    In terms of my xbox settings, there's been a rare occurance where my mobile hot spots nat shows as open, in this case its moderate and that its struggling to connect due to Teredo as well as UPNP.

    Is there any fix to these issues considering how limited it is to tweak mobile hot spot settings??

    From experience using a phone hotspot for gaming is not a reliable connection,it can be unstable causing high latency something to with mobile signal and masts.i tried it for forza 7 once and the game play was terrible in the public hoppers not just for
    me but everyone else due to me lagging

    In terms of faffing about with ports and stuff I cannot do that on my mobile hotspot. As for clearing Mac Address and a potential factory reset. I'll give that a go. Will post a reply with an update.

    Its the type of connection you have thqt is the issumobile hotspots will always have latency and nat issues

    The only way to solve it is to work with your carrier and even then strict or moderate will be the best you get

    All current gen consoles need a consistent broadband connection q cellphone isnt one

    Seems it'll be best waiting till me router comes through, relying on mobile hotspot till me fibre optic is active.
