Onscreen Keyboard Freeze Issue

In the past two weeks, whenever the onscreen keyboard comes up (for any game or Xbox One function like messaging) the Xbox freezes. The only way around it is to use Kinect to "GO HOME"; re-enter the game; then use the SmartGlass app. Otherwise if I try to
use the controller it will freeze again.

This never happened before so it must be associated with either an XBOX One system update or Smart glass update. Will this be fixed? Is there another more practical fix?

Unable to Keyboard when streaming to windows 10

Got the update today (13/10) and i was only aware when i logged on to stream.

I tried to send a message to a friend and didnt get the onscreen keyboard

I tried to send a message in game and didnt get the onscreen keyboard.

Interactions via the controller and the standard on screen keyboard is fine but any form of laptop keyboard interaction is nil.

Try doing a hard reset on your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
Once it is back up and operational test for results.

Hey mate,

Am not sure whether you have tried it yet or not, but try giving the console a hard boot to see if that helps. From the home screen, hold down the power button for 10seconds until the console switches off, leave it off for a minute or two, then switch it
back on and try again
