Only Xbox One X Will Download 4k Assests For Available Games!

Quantum Break Doesn't Detect Xbox One X, HELP!

This does not help. The "Download 4K game content" option only appears on non-4K Xbox's. This option is not available on the Xbox One X. In "theory," 4K content is downloaded to the Xbox One X by default. This in NOT the case
for my Xbox One X, however, as it does not download the 4K content for Quantum Break. All of my other 4K enhanced games work without a problem. Quantum Break is the only title that I have that refuses to grant me access to Xbox Enhanced content.

 

How do I download the 4k patches in preparation?

4K patches will automatically download on your Xbox One S when available.

On the Xbox One X, if your game installation didn't get the 4K patch ahead of time, they'll still get the 4K patches as a required update before you play it.

Riiight... so if you're not buying One X, then nothing changes. Which means outside of a pixel boost you're not really paying for anything of note - the base *gaming* experience is still the same across generations. So, until there's a specific reason to
boost pixels (ie, a One X exclusive) or otherwise sell the ideology, then Microsoft have achieved nothing by introducing a higher-end console? #SuperDooperMinecraft

 

Our eyes can tell the difference between 1080p and 4k. The eyes send a signal to the brain to our sensors and we can then distinguish it. If you google it, the resolution of the human eye is 576 Mega Pixels. Technology nowadays, including 4k, doesn't come
close to producing the full resolution which the human eye can decipher. And those who haven't studied biology and who are not an optometrist, shouldn't scoff at this. Unless you're not that open minded and couldn't care less between 720p and 1080p and 4k.
While some people may not be interested in fancier and new/different things, others will. Doing different things can trigger special brain functions which can bring a lot of joy.

We should branch out and explore new things, including 4k and higher visual fidelities that Xbox One X as a high end console, will bring. Though it is completely fine if you want to play/keep it more simple, experiencing new things can trigger special parts
of the brain, which can bring more joy/satisfaction.

Introducing a better console has it's advantages. Faster loading times. Faster boot times. Better visuals. Quicker saves. Smoother online experience due to more servers. I'm looking forward to playing SuperDooperMinecraft. Even one of my friends uncle and
parents and grandparents, play Minecraft. Even CorruptCarnage is a famous Australian Youtuber who does Real Life Minecraft videos. I also like LewisBlogsGaming. I think you'll get a laugh out of some of their videos. In fact several peeps in their teens, 20's
and 30's do Minecraft videos on YouTube. I've already done some myself, with some of my friends. Even MICROSOFT is interested in Minecraft. So much so they paid some US$2 BILLION to acquire Minecraft.

Free 4k assets and 4k Updates for Xbox One X would be a good idea. I've found some inspirational quotes I'd like to add to this thread. These forums can get boring, so here goes.

As by my post, I'm not quite good at staying strictly on topic. All I see is the word 4k and for many people, they'd jump at that. 4k 4k 4k. Well it's a Monday night for me.

Xbox One X (it's in the title of the OP's thread, some will probably be sick of the words X and 4k) I think will help console gaming on Xbox. Faster load times. Faster boots. Faster saves. Faster and more efficient processing than any other console,
better visuals which stimulate the imagination. A downside would be downloading 4k stuff, since 4k updates may have file sizes a lot more larger and with the current state of the Internet Infrastructure, it may take a while to download 4k patches. I mean several
people on hear had a hissy when Quantum Break offered an all cutscenes package which lets you watch the cutscenes offline rather than streaming. And even at 1080p, that was like a 75GB file download, for ONE game.
Xbox One already has "console exclusives", which are not available on competitor consoles. Not PC Master Race. CONSOLE. These include Screamride, Zoo Tycoon, Kinect Sports Rivals, Cities Skylines. With Xbox One X, Microsoft can shove specs down
PS4 Pro's throat. And this gives Xbox fanboys and fangirls something to stick it to the other side, who have been saying we are the weaker console, all these years.

PS: I'm looking forward to SuperDupaMinecraft come 7/11/2017. And millions of people, play Minecraft. I'm pretty sure Phil Spencer plays it too.

Not googling anything because I'm using Microsoft Edge - I'd have to 'bing' it to bring it! (SWIDT?) Anyhoo, couldn't care less what aperture science is applied to your theorycraft etc, because I'm not a robot. Therefore it makes little sense to deconstruct

Yes, it's the reason people learn new languages, or become active in sports, or make bucket lists. Because the miracle of life should never be taken for granted, and there's a world of difference *out there* once you step away from the distraction of screens
and gadgets.

You do realize that anyone can find "facts" backing up "their" views on the internet.

If you say the human eye can tell the difference between 1080p and 4k, someone can very easily find someone on the internet saying that you can't.

In fact, back when people used to actually come to this forum, a kwazy poster by the name of AZ made a thread talking about how it was stupid to have games in 4k because the human eye couldn't detect that resolution and guess what? He had links to
those "facts" he found on the internet...

So...

Everything you read on a "Google" may or may not be true.

If someone doesn't agree with you or has a different "opinion" it doesn't mean they're wrong.

Odds are, if someone disagrees with you, they're right from what I've seen in these forums anyways. lol
