    So today I got on my Xbox One to play GTAV. My friend started skyping me, and when I picked up there was no sound, but there was sound for GTA. I checked my volume mixer and voice chat was fine. But I also realized that there was no other sound. No sound
    of moving through tabs on the home screen, or selecting apps, or the sound of the home screen opening! so I checked to see if my others games' sound worked, they all did. So the only sound that works, is sound from my games. I'd really love if someone helps
    fix this or tells me what's wrong. It was working fine 24 hours ago and I haven't used it all day.

    Edit: I've also tried turning my console on and off and using headphones.

    Hello!

    I am really hoping to find some help as it just took me a few weeks to rewire my HT for the xbox one.

    I am now running my xbox one to my Denon 2312 recevier to my videoprojector all through high speed hdmi.

    I am getting perfect video but ally my games and blu rays are playing audio only through my 2 front channels...center speaker and surrounds are mute. I've tried it on my old bluray player and it works perfectly. I went to ausdio setting on the xbox and tried
    5.1 uncompressed and compressed but still nothing.

    I know there is a similar problem with tv/cable passthrough where you should check the beta version of the system, but here i'm talking about games and blurays played directly from the xbox. Can someone please help me out? Is there something i'm doing wrong?
    Do i really need to pass an optical cable too? I'm going nuts here trying to figure out what's wrong!

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

    Sound issue - game sound only

    I'm having this issue every day. Only fix is a hard restart. System UI sounds work fine. Getting real annoying to randomly start a game to no audio.

    I haven't experienced it since doing the console reset (don't recall where I found the option - under admin settings or somewhere)
    Oddly I just had it happen again but it resolved when I closed the game (home, options, quit) and restarted the game.

    K - fixed it. Had to reset the console (reset all but kept games and apps) and it resolved. Before I tried the games I also took the time to open up all the recommended ports in my router.
