Only one of my discs will not be installed.

basically I've tried everything that I've seen on youtube but it's worked for them but not for me. I have this problem where I put a disc in a when it goes in it spins a few times then it stops and says open disc tray then when I open and close it, it does
the same thing. My game is gta V for Xbox 360 and it's the installing disc which won't come up. Please help me I've only just brought and never played it so it would be great for some assistance

can you not install discs onto externals? i'm like 90% that i've installed one of the gta5 discs onto one of my flash drives...unless i just installed to the hard drive then moved it to the flash.

Sorry for the typo above I meant to say "but I personally installed both discs just to be on the safe side; just in case I accidentally use the disc that wasn't installed (assuming you only installed one disc) and saving me the trouble of having to

if you just bought it, then i'd suggest taking it back and exchanging it for another copy.

 

I tried but they wouldn't except it because I've already opened it out of the package. Do you know if it's anything to do with my Xbox?

 

maybe, but if it's the only disc that does that it seems unlikely. i'm not sure what store you bought it from, but if they sold you a defective disc, they really should take it back. if it was me i'd ask to talk to a manager and complain. the only reason
i know of for not taking back opened games is to keep people from playing it and returning it. if you really did just buy it recently then i'd push for a replacement. it's been two days since your post, and i know most places will give full refunds for used
games. but if this was a new sealed game and you just want an exchange then i don't see why that would be an issue. just tell them you paid full price for a new game and can't even play it.

if nothing else you can rent or borrow the install disc and just install from that, then use your Play Disc to play the game.
