    Only my nexus / home button registers on controller


    Turned on my Xbox, got a prolonged black screen but it came on eventually only to find my controller unresponsive.

    Pressed nexus button to open guide, and seemed ok, but still unable to do anything with controller.

    Disconnected battery, and reconnected. Controller still the same.

    Held the sync button on controller and console. Re-synced the pad, but still only the nexus button worked.

    Held down the power button on Xbox to reboot. Controller finally works.

    Reported from console.

    Anyone with same issue, power off your console and reboot.

    Is there a way to use the xbox button to return to hone without having to go through the quick menu thing?

    No, there is no way. The only option is to press the nexus button (Xbox button) on the controller, and then home.

    What happened to the Resume Games quickly on the Power & Startup screen

    press nexus button which takes you to the home dashboard press menu button scroll down to quit and press.

    I have the same problem and cache reset does nothing. It only happens with the a button and only on home screens. It happens with both of my controllers and i dont believe it is a hardware problem because games and apps work perfecltly. Also when you press
    the a button the tile flashes like it registered, but nothing happens

    has everyone made sure that their controller with headset and headset adapter plugged in if applicable has been updated? many people forget to update their controllers

    Ive found the batteries slide around in the controller.

    Could do with some padding to make the enclosure tighter

    I think its was designed more fir the plug and play than fir batteries.

    Next ti e it plays up try popping the cover off and make sure the batteries are pulled in tight

    Might nit fix it but has helped with my disconnect problems
