    Only have 12gb/month download allowance. Can I download elsewhere?


    This might sound a daft question, but is there any way to download the games I have purchased to an external device that can be used to install them to my xbox?

    I live in an area that can only support 3G mobile broadband and can only get 12gig a month. I do not want to have to take my Xbox to work as I travel on public transport, but do take my Surface.

    So is there a way of downloading the games to the surface/external hard drive/USB so that I can enjoy this great console.

    Annoying the way the updates take up way too much room on my drive

    Yeah, that's why I stopped playing. Wasn't going to download 12Gbs worth of updates every 4 months...

    How much data do you think you use, d/l each month?

    Usually over 100GB. Can't believe a few years ago when I only had 40GB allowance a month I didn't go over it considering how much I download and stream online.

    Sorry, but no. Xbox content can only be downloaded directly onto the console.

    ok so ive created a new account and bought halo reach but now it fails in download. it appers in active download for about 1 minute and the gives this error after downloading 40kb "can´t download halo reach". i have 12gb free on hdd
