Only certain games work

Yes the xbox games are compatible, some of my sons games stop working i recently bought 3 more new games they dont work in the system thought they were bad games got them switched out 3 times still wont work only 2 games that he plays the most still plays.
The message always reads open try or unrecognizable disk amd freezes . Talked to several game stops and no one can tell me the problem even put the games that dont work in a friends xbox 360 and they were working with no problem. Please help im very frustrated
at this point.

2day trial won't let me play online or join party

depends on the game

If it's ones like destiny no it won't work as you need actual gold

48hour trials only work on certain games and certain modes

It doesn't give you real gold access

It sounds like you may need to submit the console for service. The DVD drive may not be working correctly.

Remote play will allow you to stream your games installed in your Xbox console using compatible devices. If you encountered issues like what you are describing, these are caused by network connection. For issue on buttons that does not work, you can provide us the information of the type of controller you are using and indicate if this is happening only to the specific games you have mentioned.

To help us ensure an optimal connection with your network, follow the steps provided here:

Double-check that your device and network meet the minimum system requirements.
If you're on a wireless network, make sure you're on a 5 GHz network, not 2.4 GHz (on a 2.4 GHz wireless network you may see some interference). See the “Using a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network,” section, below.
If you’re attempting to cast your device to another screen, this will add additional latency to the output, which may result in increased lag or audio that’s out of sync.
On an Android device, you can clear the app cache. Go to Settings > Apps, select the app, then select Storage > Clear cache.
On an Android device, you can try connecting your controller directly using a USB cable.

I've tried all of these and the games I mentioned still doesn't work. At least Fortnite while streaming it can be played with keyboard and mouse, but with controller it's impossible.

If yes, you can follow the steps on how to configure your Xbox Wireless controller to Windows device through the link below. You can connect through Bluetooth and using USB cable.
