Online X360 purchases work on XB1 w/back compat?

I am a preview member and would like to try out the backwards compatible feature. I have long since traded/sold my old 360 games. However, I would like to try to purchase a game from the online xbox store over the internet.

Will digital purchases online of 360 games show up on my XB1 for download transfer in my queue? Of, course I want to get one of the games that are compatible with the preview program.

Xbox market place videos Ive purchased

if the media is backed to your PC and is not an X360 game.. you should be able to stream it to the XB1... just the games and anything made specifically for the X360 will most likely not work on the XB1

The games that are on the current BC list will work. if you don't already own them, you can buy them here on Xbox.com, via the marketplace on the Xbox 360 or I believe on the Xbox One marketplace.

One thing that came to mind was, I know a X360 save can be played on a XB1X but have never tried to play a save from the XB1X downloaded to a X360.

Is that possible? I wouldn't have thought so, and it never occurred to me, as I don't see the reason to go back to the X360.

It doesn't work, no. I also upgraded to Xb1X from Xb1S and the backwards compatible cloud treats the Xb1 like a 360 console and since Xb1 lacks tools to configure the 360 cloud, it's stuck as is.

Only the BC games show up on the XB1 store. Otherwise you have to purchase via X360 or Xbox.com.

I have all 3 systems but it is a little impractical besides the electric and space wasted to setup systems when we could just have 1 out in use on display.

Unfortunate for those offline if an emulator was created for use on the cloud to run Xbox/X360 games. Having an XB1 that could run backwards compatibility would only benefit those interested in playing older games but if their dlc is accessible online then
it will not be lost, especially in near future when concentration is paid more towards XB1.

I would like to hope that Microsoft could help all those (like myself) somehow have the ability to access their dlc and bought X360 games using only the XB1, even if there's an option to purchase a new XB1 with built-in Backwards Compatiblity
