Online status doesn’t work

It didn’t work.

The green dot is on my icon in the app but not the console.

Thanks for trying. That's odd. Have you already tried to remove your account and add it back again?

Note: Before doing these steps, please make sure that you know exactly the email address linked with your gamertag and the password to it so you can add the correct account again.

1. Remove account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm. When you're finished, select Close.

2. Power cycle:
Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

3. Add account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add, and then select Enter.

If that didn't work, try to connect your console to a different network to further isolate the issue. It may be a network connectivity issue somehow with your Xbox console.

The last resort we could try is to perform a factory reset to refresh your system and to remove potentially corrupted data. There's an option to keep your games and apps.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

Sorry to hear about the issue. For our workaround, try to sign in your account using an Xbox app on mobile. Set your status from off then back to online.

Yes, i tried to change DNS address but online services doesn’t work at all. Online in games doesn’t work. The games like Fifa 23.

Check the xbox live status. If there is any alerts that could be why.

If status is normal then I would try to trouble shoot your connection. If that doesn’t work then try deleting your profile and re downloading it.
