My son is trying to play Fortnite on his Xbox One. He received a message saying, " You cannot see content other people make because of how your account is set up." What do I need to change on the online safety settings to allow him access?

For the password that needs to be entered ,is it a password that is made on the day or the password of the parent e-mail address ,my friend told me that it's a password that you make for the settings and not the email password . If the 'parent account' that
we are using the information for isn't right then how come when it asks for the password when changing the settings ,it automatically enters the e-mail address we are using ?

If my settings are in 'Teen' ,is it possible to buy DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops ?

It sounds like your son may be using a
child account or not an Xbox Live Gold subscriber. Are you able to send us his gamertag so we can take a look? You may click the "Message" button with the envelope icon underneath my name if you'd prefer to send it there. If you do that, please also respond
to this thread letting us know you did that.

Additionally, are you able to include a photo of that error message? Is that the complete verbatim of the error message he's seeing when he launches Fortnite?

Problems With Parent

I've recovered the gamertag of the parent account before and it worked fine but nothing happened and my problem is still there ,have there been any known issues with this before ? It seems to be a fault in the settings

Sign out of any profile on the console, then on the list of Gamertags, scroll right until you find the "Recover" option. Select this and follow the prompts. You'll need the account WLID and password.

There is a 4-digit passcode that is used on the Parent Account to prevent access to the settings, but when it asks you to "log in" with the parent account, it's asking for the WLID/Password of the account itself. This can be tested by having the parent recover
his/her account with this same info. If it doesn't work to recover, it isn't correct, and they should call phone support to recover their information. (support.xbox.com/.../contact-us.aspx)
