Online Joining

Having problems joining friends game requests, tells you to hold the button but nothing happens. Anything that can help?

We were trying to but my model isnt listed but my brand is. My friend whos from thr UK uses a brand called “Sky” but thats not listed.

We both have checked our networks via the tests. Nothing seems to stand out as alarming whatsoever.

 

Hi, what game is it that you're trying to join? Is the game doing anything once you hold the button?

 

We were having this issue last night. Multiple people had multiple issues joining the party / joining the game.

1) I was in GTAV, they were in Warframe. Could not "join party" via friends app.

2) Left GTAV, same.

3) Restarted console, was able to join party.

4) Started Warframe, could not join game either by accepting invite or via party app. Both times, clicking the button did nothing.

5) Everyone quits Warframe, restarts, able to join game.

6) One player crashes out mid-game, could not rejoin via party app or invite.

7) That player restarts console, back to normal.

We've been having weird connectivity issues it seems ever since the holiday rush.

 

Was trying to play killer instict, connected for 30 seconds and kicked us out the match. After we sent game invites and nothing when pushed the xbox button on the controller. Than tried to play on Unity and same thing.

 

Similar issue here too. In fact, it's why I came looking for answers today. I get the invites but holding the button doesn't even try to connect. If I go directly to the invites via the main page I get the same thing...nothing. It doesn't even try to connect.
The lovely support pages suggest a NAT issue with other members of the party. Well, the guy starting the party is running a dedicated business internet from his computer repair store. I'm fairly certain his NAT is wide open. And according to every test I ran,
so is mine. But even when he invites me first, so we are the only two people trying to connect, it still does the same thing. This all started for me Saturday the 10th. The funny thing is that through all my digging, there was an entry on one of the pages
that said there was a console update applied earlier that day. Never had a problem with invites before that so I'm guessing they *** it up and have yet to fix it or to even admit they did it.

 

I understand what your saying but had this problem when new games came out the wouldnt let you do what you just said but i was given the excuse since its a new game, too many people are on and whatever else might me causing the problems. That's why i usually
stick with my 360, never have problems like this.
