Online installs/ game updates at god awful speeds...

I recently bought the minecraft xb1 edition because it was 5 bucks, hell yeah! Anyways, it's like 500mb fast DL right? Playing in no time! Well not the case for me, while the game was downloading, I got curious and went to "Bandwidth Usage" in the settings
just to see why it was taking so long, it's downloading at a whopping 200-600 KB/s... I haven't seen those numbers in forever, I have 50mbps Internet which allows for plenty of room for Internet browsing and a game download, translate that to 6 something odd
megabytes per second and tell my why my xbox one is dowoading at a fraction of that. I'm not a noob when it comes to networking or anything like that, I live on my computer, it's where I do all of my work. But it just baffles me on the Xbox one. I got dead
rising 3 with my console and played the crap out of it, haven't played in forever, now I get slammed with 4.4gb of updates, no prob except it taking literally all night long.. Im not sure what else to say really, I got my point across, my Xbox is mentally
"retarted", anyway of making it realize that it's ok to download a little faster?

Epic Fail

Well it took a FULL DAY to install RYSE offline, I then went online to download the update, several hours later it was done. The Internet speeds locally are bloody awful and of course MS don't take that into consideration at all!!. I have never had anything
above 3mbps and wont until someone gets off their backside and installs fiber broadband in our town (few years away yet) but I digress.....

This morning I managed to install Dead Rising in just under 2 hours, now looking at the size of the update I'll be lucky if its all downloaded by tomorrow night at least!!

What a total sodding joke this new system is. Think I will be sticking to my 360 - pop the disk in and the game starts straight away - that's how its supposed to work Microsoft you idiots!

Only other alternative is to NEVER connect the XBoxOne online so it can never update games - but then whats the bloody point of it lol.

 

Game Auto Update issues

I'm also having game auto update issues. Was just playing mad max and got kicked to dash to install an update. Why? It's a single player game! Did I really need the update that badly it couldn't wait until I wasn't playing the game!! If it's a mandatory
update and I'm IN the game just go off line and let me keep playing. What a god awful system MS well done.

Have you cechecked the given downloads speed in the xbox's netweork settings? Do they display correctly?

Are you on a wired or wireless connection?

 

Well, back again and have check bandwidth usage again, it's about 2:45am, no one is on the internet, nothing else downloading/uploading, no streams, I bought Halo MCC, download started at 3.65mb/s, after about 400mb downloaded it dropped right back down
to 150-200kb/s. And this is a 60GB download >.> I am on a wireless connection, I have a pretty long ethernet cable i'll try to hook up and see if the speeds change but i'm really not that far from my router so, meh

 

Hard-wired, peaked at 6mb/s downloaded about 700mb, it went right back down to 100-200kb/s. If I unplug the cord and plug it right back in, it will jump back up to 2-3mb/s but drop back down to 100-200kb/s within a minute or so..

 

I have the same issue.. it seems like it's always been slow to download or install anything even though my Internet is 35mbs. Everything I download is around100-500kbs. I checked on my pc also and it's fine on there so I'm guessing it's something to do with
the servers not allowing us to do download at our real speeds?

 

This maybe also an issue with your internet provider as some of them are lowering the speeds for game downloads.
