Online Home Xbox sharing

Hello

I got my son Xbox gold live and has Xbox one and my grandson has his own Xbox one and online access. Grandson has Forza wants to be able to play dad but dad doesn’t have forza. They tried making the dad Xbox the home they got the message popped up saying all though you can play on diff console you can not use same game two consoles. They want to be able to play each other on forza online only one Xbox account grandson owns forza

Thanks but does this mean they will be able to play each other online if only one person owns the game

They can still both play online with the same game for as long as the home Xbox is being set correctly. The owner does not have to log in to the console anymore if it has already been set up as home for sharing.

I understand you need help on home Xbox sharing.

This normally happens when the home Xbox association has not been correctly set up.

To make sure that you can share your games, you need to be logged in to the account that has the game on that specific Xbox where you want to share it, then set it up as home Xbox. Do not set it up again on another console as this will be removed. Once done setting up the home Xbox, just log in to the other account and you can play the same games that the owner has being set up as home.

Hello there!

The account that has the subscription would be able to share it but only through the Xbox console, meaning, if the owner of the gold subscription home shares the console with his account anybody would be able to play online in that particular console.
