    As being an older gamer(meaning we didn't have this zzhit when growing up) I really do feal sorry for me, and the younger gamers. Yes, these days you have more "Modern" tech than Hillary Clinton has lies, but 95 % of its crap....Example: my daughter is one
    of the godzillion who has to have the latest greatest cell phone, only to *** & moan about how she isnt getting 4G half the time, and its always doing something screwy...Then of course we have all these addicting lil MP games, when in fact they do not work
    correctly...At least back in the day when we as kids got a new bicycle etc..the zzhit worked.. Things being sold today would be like us getting a go-cart with 3 wheels, a Monopoly game with no fake money, a pet rock made of rubber......Anyway, you get the
    jist of it. You mave have alot more, but your getting alot less.. And the funny part is, you hear every Player on BO2 complaining about laggy games, but in the same sentence, their all giggly abouit getting the new BO3...Irony, or some form of masochism, as

    ^Delving a little deeper into that thought, however... we have only ourselves to blame for the way it is. People just have to have it, can't wait for it, really need the latest, greatest.

    The new tech actually fuels the problem... almost everything connects everyone to social media anymore, in some way. The way I see it, that just means everyone has an easy way to have their nose in everyone else's business.

    If Johnny and 2 of his friends have the latest phone and it works perfectly 'for them' everyone clambers to get one. Even if Johnny and friends have the only 3 phones in existence that actually work properly, the rest would rather run to the internet and
    **** about the problems than return a POS phone and not have the 'best available'. It makes no sense. If you're going to buy a half baked cake and not be happy with it, but eat it anyway, don't expect the next one to be done.

    The internet doesn't care how much people complain and as long as the baker is still selling lots of cake, why should he change a recipe that's selling?

    I know it it futile, but i am at least voicing my thopughts to Acti/Trey on their FB page, only wish more people would realize that silence is a form of acceptance, and like you said, why would the baker change anything when he's making the "Dough" in both
    forms....

    enlighten me as to what your apologizing for? The fact that Activision doesn't have a clue as to what the company has, as far as servers, Or for the fact you plainly do not want to answer the question?

    I may end up buying the Xone, as i do like Halo. And thanks to Blue Illusion,(and alot of reading) i learned that not all games played on a MS system use Ms servers. I really do enjoy the COD series, as the actual game is pretty good as a 1st person shooter...It
    is disappointing that Act/Trey Built a nice series, and use the crappy P2P player host system, im old, and i do understand its all about revenue, but ***...they have made bukoos more than enough to implement dedicated servers for BO3, and possibly continuing
    COD games... I understand there will always be a certain amount of latency issues with online gaming, but dedicated servers do make a vast improvement. As a personal thought: to make online gaming the best possible, if MS etc. would run ping/latency tests
    on players as they logged in, so they would be be matched with players as closely as possible... Been playing some Bo2 Deathmatch again, and 80/90% of all my games have noticeable lag issues, Host migration, due to them being slowed down to the point of horrible
    game play. Like i said, i would much rather have alot smaller playing field, and better games, than to be matched with player in Canada, or Cali, as im on the southern east coast...You know the Ping numbers are off the charts..

    I don't think TMCC is all that great to use as an example for online play. Simply because it had enough bugs of its own and not everyone may understand what is game related and what would be network related. lol >.<

    Another common misunderstanding about dedicated servers is that they 'fix' lag. I think most people understand that they reduce lag, not fix it. But I think that a lot of people think that it means everyone experiences the same [reduced] lag, which isn't
    the case.

    Bad connection is bad... someone with a poor connection to a dedicated server will still have lag. The difference is that there's zero chance that person will be host and everyone will experience lag that is directly based upon their independent connection
    to the server. Even a slightly laggy connection will 'feel' more stable in that case, though, because there isn't a randomly changing connection to a new host that may or may not be better or worse than the previous one.

    Another fun fact about online gaming... video games have built in lag compensation. A few years back (not sure how many) I saw a short video that basically explained how CoDs lag compensation code worked... and called it out for not being very reliable,
    especially for a 'twitch shooter'. Makes me wonder how many people have blamed lag and servers for something that is actually a part of the game engine itself?

    I remember playing Halo 4 Spartan Ops on the Xbox 360 without dedicated servers and it is such a massive difference LOL :)
