    How to buy Points (Xbox.com purchase) / Add money to Xbox Live account?

    Amazon.com seems to be the only online retailer that sells Xbox Gift cards with "Online Game Code" digital download. No physical code has to be mailed.

    But there are no retailers that sell digital codes in Canada.

    This is why I preferred buying points on Xbox.com. Because it was 100% online. No physical cards.

    Purchasing microsoft points for other people

    Unfortunately there is no option to gift purchase MS points directly from Xbox.

    There are some online game retailers I.e Amazon that will email you a redeem code if you purchase a MS points card online via their site. Or alternatively goto a game retailer, purchase a points card and forward the redeem code.

    Did this for a friend and just messaged him Happy Birthday over live with a redeem code.

    That really depends on what country you are from. In the UK I've used Game.co.uk or Shopto.net. Perhaps we can give you more if you tell us what country you are from?

    I bought a digital gift card for XBox from Amazon by mistake. Amazon won’t refund it, they have told me to contact. XBox, I have tried to get a call back to discuss on XBox but nothing happens.

    Amazon does their gift cards through a third party gift card vendor that most major retailers use for online gift card purchases. Any refund details would be in the email containing the code

    As far as I know you can only buy games as gifts. If you want to buy Gold, buy a physical card or a code from an online retailer. :)

    Are Game Pass codes region locked?

    The codes can be region locked. If the gift card has been bought via an online retailer they should detail if its a region or worldwide code.
