online connection

so...for the past few weeks now my xbox has been disconnecting from my wifi for no apparent reason. my other devices such as my laptop and phone which are right next have no issues whatsoever. it kicks me out of whatever online game i'm playing and out of
the party i'm in with my friends. i have to go to my network settings and retype in my wifi password and then i'm connected right away again. or just restart my console. but it's insanely annoying and i have no idea what to do. any help out there? or suggestions?
is it my personal xbox or is it the xbox network?

Sony have not required that games are available offline. It's down to the publishers.

PS4 Will Not Require An Always-Online Connection [UPDATE]

PS4 will not require the console is online, but it's possible that some games will require it.

ISP:

Region:

Modem model & brand:

Router model & brand:

Any error codes that pop-up:

Your Detailed Network Statistics (post back with wireless strength, latency, and packet loss):

In the meantime, let's start with the following steps:

Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One until the console fully powers down.

Head on over to your network equipment and remove the power from both your router and modem (or gateway).

Let everything sit without power for 60 seconds.

Plug your network equipment back in and give in a few seconds to reconnect and power up.

Power on your Xbox One console to test the results.

Keep us posted!

alrighty so my ISP is comcast, xfinity

i am located in chicago

i thiink i have the technicolor TC8305C

i have no error codes that pop-up (i just get disconnected and it informs me that i have lost internet connection but everything is working properly)

wireless strength says it's at 100%, latency is at 66ms, and packet loss is 0%

Thanks for the detailed information! Unfortunately the Technicolor Gateway you mentioned has a little bit of a history with random disconnects from gaming services such as Xbox Live, and there isn't a lot of troubleshooting we can offer due this. We do recommend
reaching out to Comcast to see if they can offer any troubleshooting steps or an alternative device that doesn't have any issues with disconnects. We also recommend possibly looking into acquiring a standalone router and a standalone modem that is recommended
for use with gaming.

We have had some users have success 'bridging' a standalone router to that Technicolor gateway (which basically turns off the router functionality of the Technicolor and works strictly as a modem), but you may need to reach out to Comcast for assistance
with setting that up. We also recommend having a look at our Technicolor
Known Issues post for more information

Try to sign out and sign in again if that doesn't helps...

To solve the issue you are experiencing I suggest you to remove the account from your console, clear the console cache and download your account again. Follow the step by step instructions:

a)To remove the account from xbox live console:

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Under "Account," select Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove.

Select Remove to confirm.

When you're finished, select Close.

b) To clear cache on an Xbox One:

Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.

Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.

Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.

Plug the power cable back into the console.

Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.

Turn on the console using the power button.

c)To download your Xbox profile to the Xbox One console:

1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

2. Scroll down, and then select Add & manage.

3. Select Add new.

4. Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that's associated with your Xbox profile, and then select Enter.

5. Enter the password for your Microsoft account, and then select Enter.

6. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

7. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences and download your Xbox profile to your Xbox One console.
