Ongoing home screen freezes, app crashes

I have had the COD: AW 1 TB HDD Xbox One since the system first came out. There have been sporadic issues since the beginning that have started to become more common. I've tried to come up with as many specific examples as possible to help with the problem,
in order of most common, over the course of the last month or two.

SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF HOME SCREEN FREEZES I AM EXPERIENCING



Clicking on Snap or Unsnap Mode. Current rate of occurrence: Probably once every other gaming session

Pressing the Home Screen button on the controller and moving anywhere on the home screen. Sometimes I'll move one tile before it freezes, sometimes it will immediately freeze when I get to the home screen. Current rate of occurence: Also probably once every
other gaming session.

Clicking on the Achievements tile from the home screen has resulted in freezing about once a week.

I will also get a random freeze-up while moving around the home screen when there's not any other game or app going on. Current rate of occurrence: about once a week.

Although each individual example doesn't appear to happen too commonly, combined it has resulted in a freeze-up, and thus a hard reset, at some point in time during any session when I have the system on. Holding down the home screen button to turn off the
system that way, or turning off the system from the front, does not work a third of the time.

SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF APP CRASHES I AM EXPERIENCING



When I say crash, I'm not necessarily referring to the app crashing, but the entire Xbox shutting down abruptly.



YouTube: System crashes and shuts off approximately 15-20 seconds into a video. Rate of occurrence: It was about half to a quarter the time up until the last week or two, now it happens on every occasion.

Netflix: System crashes and shuts off at random, sometimes 15-20 seconds into an initial video, sometimes 2 hours into a show binge. Like YouTube, it has become more and more common in the last couple of weeks, but not to the point where it's every single
time like YouTube. Probably half the time now.

Hulu, Amazon Prime, and others have never had problems.

xbox one freezing

when browsing through my game library my xbox freeze and crash to the home screen or turns off

 

Bad News 1st August happen Titanfall problem

i go load titanfall ready happen freeze black screen, i try again lpad that after crash back home xbox. i think update wrong loseroblemm crash too.

fix update titanfall freeze and crash problem remove. need old back update 3 before.

why everyday each change challage dairly happen that might.

i was 5 times titanfall go happen crash **** up server fix Respawn.

 

Yeah, I experience this sort of thing quite a bit too. I think it's a result of the changes they've made to the home screen, like customizable backgrounds and whatnot. It's just the sort of thing that hopefully they'll work on with future updates. It's
frustrating, but I don't think it's any sign that your hardware isn't performing up to par.

 

I'd like to add that I too have noticed that Netflix is notoriously bad with crashing and resuming etc.

It's ever since they updated a good few months ago... Or well "updated" might be the wrong word. See, there was the original Netflix Xbox One app that didn't have many errors, but I guess people preferred the 360 version, because for whatever reason they
decided to port the 360 Netflix app right over. I guess since it wasn't really designed for XB1, it has more errors.
