Freeview HD with Xbox now supported?

Hi Guys,

I have read the following article on Pocket lint with regards to OneGuide TV service support for the UK.

I am sure many of you are in a similar boat to me with regards to having freeview HD already built into your TV.

I have made the decision that I will purchase a Freeview HD box in order to use the Xbox One TV features.

My question is, does it matter which brand of freeview box I go for?

The details thus far have been very vague.

I would ideally like to have it purchased an up and running for the start of the World Cup to make use of the Destination Brazil features.

Xbox One next week as Pocket-lint understands that elements of it will be needed to support the company's dedicated World Cup hub Destination Brazil and the Brazil Now companion application.

The OneGuide TV service will become fully functional in the UK with the update, and both World Cup services link to it and use its abilities to hook up with live matches from Brazil. And as the World Cup kicks off with Brazil versus Croatia on 12 June, and
Microsoft confirming that they will be live in time for the first match, it will have to have been installed on consoles in the country before then.

Virgin Media and Freeview set-top-boxes through the

TV Listings not available in Canada

One of the main reason I got XBOX ONE is to control my cable box which is very slow.

Unfortunately, TV LISTINGS are not available in Canada yet, that's what someone in their support told.

In Canada, OneGuide does not have the option to setup the TV GUIDE. This is such a basic capability, it's hard to believe it's not available yet. Has anybody experienced the same problem?

Anyone have early access??? I have Shaw as my cable provider. I am pumped for this feature!

 

Makes me more excited to get an Xbox One. Now that the price has dropped I can get one sooner. I don't need the kinect as I'd never use it.

I'm super excited to be using the OneGuide today. Sadly it's missing at least two channels from my provider (TMN Encore 2 and Teletoon HD English on Videotron Illico in Montreal) I've sent some PMs based on other threads but MS doesn't seem to have
a clear 'OneGuide issue' thread or reporting system. If anyone finds one, let me know!

 

I just finished setting mine up as well. I am missing a couple of channels (OTA local broadcast) but also have two Global Edmonton stations one on 10 and one on 13. The 10 one needs to go away, it doesn't exist. Who can we tell?

Xbox one guide, good improvement for canada but does not cover Ota (over the air). So for me it is not working. Still dreaming of the service ofered in the u.s. Where OTA is coverred by one guide.

I'm having issues with Videotron - Illico TV. It gives me the wrong channel numbers; for example, it says TSN is channel 28 when in reality it is channel 60 for me. Does anyone know of any solutions or how I can adjust this?
