    OneGuide picture quality issues


    Hey all,

    I've looked on other forums and search engine posts but couldn't find a resolution until now. Here's my resolution that I hope you'll find useful.

    I received a new HD television cable box from my TV provider today. When I plugged the cable box to my Xbox One and had OneGuide active, it would automatically downgrade the picture/video quality from 1080i to 720p. I checked my TV & OneGuide, and Display
    & sound settings. Video output > TV resolution 1080p, then Advanced video settings > TV connection should be HDMI.

    With the cable box itself OFF but OneGuide ON, select Menu (or Settings) from the cable box remote control. It should pull up a white background with black text and say User Settings. Use the up/down buttons to change HDMI/YPbPr Output to 1080i. You can
    leave the other options alone. Press Menu (or Settings) button again to exit, and then turn on the cable box. You should now be seeing 1080i content. I found this resolution on my own, and I hope this helps you.

    Keep in mind that if activating a new cable box from your provider, ensure the old one (if applicable) is deactivated and new one activated, and also to wait approximately 2-4 hours for channels in the guide to appear.

    Watch Tv - Lower quality through xbox1

    The judder is a know issue with Uk & EU 50hz and hopefully be fixed in an update. For the picture quality, run the TV calibration wizard from the Xbox settings. My picture quality is good coming from a Sky HD box.
