OneGuide- Different Channels using same Channel Number?

It's a weird issue. For some reason I have a few channels in my lineup that use the same channel number, but have a decimal value as well. This means I can only watch one of the channels unless I manually use my Cable Box remote to change to the correct
    channel.

    My Problem:

    Channel Station Name

    55.1----------Fit&Health

    55.23--------National Geographic Channel

    55.3----------Disney Junior

    55.7----------Disney XD

Because of these channels (among others) have the same base number, 55, it only switches to the first channel among these, which is Fit&Health. The only way I can get to these other 3 channels is to go to their actual channels. My Disney Junior channel for
my kids shows up as 55.3, but it's actually channel 69. This decimal system only seems to be apparent on my SD channels. It's only a problem because there's no Disney Junior HD channel. Also, saying "Xbox Watch Disney Jr" attempts to go to the channel that
OneGuide has listed, so it always takes me to Fit&Health, if that makes sense.

    Mediacom is my provider.

    61727 is my ZIP.

    :)

OneGuide channels are wrong after Time Warner Cable new lineup

Since TWC is consolidating SD and HD channels, AMC now shows as channel 35.

There is a OneGuide setting that will automatically hide duplicate SD channels if an HD channel exists. Since I had this enabled, OneGuide did not even show channel 35.

So if a channel is completing missing from OneGuide, it may help to disable that setting until the new OneGuide is released.

After disabling that option, I went through the guide and set as many favorites as I could using the old SD channels (many of which seem to be the same). I will just rely on using favorites until this is sorted out.

    Channel Will Not Change

I'm able to scroll through OneGuide channels, however, when selecting a channel using the 'A' button on the Xbox Controller, it takes me back to the same channel and won't change to the new channel.

    Comcast channels wrong

I think the problem is that going to "OneGuide settings -> Troubleshooting -> Report a OneGuide Problem" and entering the channel and a correct number isn't really triggering a review because the channel number is already correct (because two numbers are
showing in OneGuide for that channel)!

The problem is that there are multiple listings for the channel in the OneGuide. For example, here in Richmond, the OneGuide shows ESPNHD on 252 and 850. The correct channel is 850. Channel number 252 is now a defunt channel in Richmond and has no programming
on it--the channel no longer exists. So I'm assuming that when the guide data was updated on Microsoft's servers the delete channels didn't get removed--only new ones were added or existing ones were updated. As such we now have two channel numbers for the
same channel in a lot of cases.

Having two numbers means voice commands don't work--it seems that the lowest channel number is chosen when there are duplicates ("xbox watch ESPN" pulls up 252, which is non-existent, instead of 850).

We here in Richmond simply need the defunct/dead channels removed from the OneGuide.

Reporting it through the console doesn't seem to be fixing this problem.

    Comcast channels wrong

I think the problem with reporting the "wrong number" for a channel number through "OneGuide settings -> Troubleshooting -> Report a OneGuide Problem" is that the lineup doesn't get reviewed because the number reported for the channel actually is correct
in the guide! For example, when I report that ESPN is a "wrong number" and should be on 850, well....it does show on 850 in OneGuide. So I'm assuming this doesn't trigger a full lineup review. The problem is that OneGuide ALSO shows it on 252 (here in Richmond).
252 is now defunct and doesn't exist as a channel via Comcast. So when we say "XBOX watch ESPN" it seems like it must internally grab the lowest channel number it can find for that HD channel and then try to change the cable box channel number to that.

So reporting a wrong channel number by giving an example doesn't seem to really work because the one we give is correct and already in the guide. The problem is that there is an "extra" channel number in the guide for a channel like ESPN and it's the extra
channel that is wrong--it shouldn't exist as any channel, period. There's no way to report this fallacy through the interface.

The entire channel lineup is wrong.

Hey everyone, this same problem just happened to me where my cable provider changed the channel lineup but my xbox was still using the old channel numbers but i found how to fix it. Go to settings ---> tv&oneguide ---> oneguide---> clear oneguide ---> then
last still in oneguide go to tv lineup and go through that again. That fixed it for me.

    One Guide

Does the OneGuide show little channel numbers in the channel?

If it's like in Germany with satellite TV, it's because the channel numbers are not the same on every set top box.

Some cable networks have a fixed channel order, and OneGuide knows that on channel one, it's "ABC" on channel 2 it's "XYZ" and on channel 3 it's "HBO" and whatever.

However, on satellite TV, it might be because you can order the channels to your own preference, and since OneGuide can't know which order your channels are, they don't offer the possibility to switch, indicated by the channels not having a small grey number
    in the corner.

If OneGuide offers you a TV service with similar channel offerings like DirecTV, then you might try to choose that, and if you see small numbers in the corner, order your channels on your satellite set top box according to the channel ordering of that service.

If you DO have small grey numbers on your channels in OneGuide, make sure your set top box can receive the IR signals sent out by your console.

If you have an original Xbox One (not S or X model), make sure you have a Kinect sensor. Without Kinect, the original Xbox One has no means to send infrared commands.

If you do have a Xbox One S or X with built in IR blaster, take out your smartphone, and activate the camera. Point it to the infrared window of the console, and issue a channel switch command in OneGuide. Observe your camera, and see if the infrared blaster
    is blinking on the console.

if that's the case, make sure the set top box is positioned so, that it can detect the reflected infrared signals.
