  1. OneGuide + Comcast X1: Problem changing channels, Xbox doesn't send "OK" after ...

I have my Cable box, Audio receiver, and TV configured in Xbox OneGuide.

    • Cable Box: Comcast Xfinity X1 model #MX011ANM. Configured using the model number, the Xbox chose remote code C4447
    • Audio Receiver: Yamaha RX-V673
    • TV: Samsung Smart TV (I dont have the model handy, I can look it up if needed)
Voice control for all three devices appears to work correctly:

    • Xbox Turn Off/On works (Toggles the TV and Receiver)
    • Adjusting volume works (Changes volume in the Yahama receiver)
    • Play/Pause/etc commands correctly control the DVR on the cable box
The only problem is that changing the channels doesn't work. OneGuide types out the channel number, which can be seen in the X1 search box on the screen, but it doesn't send the "OK" Command. The X1 remote requires an OK after typing the number, so for example
to go to channel 123 you would type "1" + "2" + "3" + "OK", otherwise it displays search results for those number/letter combos. After changing the channel on the Xbox, if I press OK on the comcast remote the channel will change.

This is a similar problem to this thread, starting a new post since my hardware is a little different in case it needs a different fix.: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4277/t/1826372.aspx

  2. Xfinity X1 box PX001anc wont change channels using the Kinect commands

I have this exact same problem. I have the X1 cable box model MX011ANM configured manually using the model number (not remote code).

All other voice commands appear to work, but changing the channels just brings up the X1 search screen with the channel number. No "Ok" signal is sent. If I hit OK on the Comcast remote after using the Xbox voice command it works.

    Any ideas?

Selecting channels in OneGuide opens TV Listings [Comcast]

    TV Provider: Xfinity/Comcast

Motorola HDDTA-100 box plugged into a Samsung 65" TV via HDMI. [TV Model UN65F7100AF]

    HDMI from Xbox to TV

I am using the Xbox One Media remote to control the TV. Everything works as it should. I can change channels. Volume up/down works. However . . .

When I select a channel in OneGuide and press the OK button on the Xbox Remote, it will change the channel, but pops up Comcast TV Listings screen. So I'm basically changing the channel with the Xbox and then having to pick up the stupid Comcast remote to
close the dang TV Listings. This happens if I use voice command as well. Changing the channel one channel at a time with the Xbox remote works as it should - not TV Listing screen popping up. I hate Comcast with every fiber of my being so I gather this is
a Comcast issue. Anyone experience this and/or know how to fix? I just want it to go the channel like normal, not open the TV Listing!

    Grrrrr, I hate Comcast!

The only thing I can think of, is when I change the channel one at a time and it works as it should, a brief Comcast message appears on screen saying "Press OK to view Guide." It seems as if the OK button is being transmitted after the channel number gets
    sent. Any ideas?

The PM suggested switching to remote code C1982 here:

    forums.xbox.com/.../1826372.aspx

I'll try that when I get home. If that is the correct remote code, then what is C4447 and why did the Xbox choose it for my cable box model number?

Need Code For Comcast Xfinity X1 Platform

I have a situation where the Xbox One can control my Comcast X1 box but can not handle even basic functions. For instance if I pull up the OneGuide and select Channel 850, the Xbox One will send the signal to the box but it will change the channel to 80
or 85 but never 850 like I selected. I have swapped cables and reran the setup many times but the problem persists. At one time it worked like a champ but hasn't reliably worked in over a year. Anybody seen a similar problem with their X1?

    Comcast channels wrong

I think the problem with reporting the "wrong number" for a channel number through "OneGuide settings -> Troubleshooting -> Report a OneGuide Problem" is that the lineup doesn't get reviewed because the number reported for the channel actually is correct
in the guide! For example, when I report that ESPN is a "wrong number" and should be on 850, well....it does show on 850 in OneGuide. So I'm assuming this doesn't trigger a full lineup review. The problem is that OneGuide ALSO shows it on 252 (here in Richmond).
252 is now defunct and doesn't exist as a channel via Comcast. So when we say "XBOX watch ESPN" it seems like it must internally grab the lowest channel number it can find for that HD channel and then try to change the cable box channel number to that.

So reporting a wrong channel number by giving an example doesn't seem to really work because the one we give is correct and already in the guide. The problem is that there is an "extra" channel number in the guide for a channel like ESPN and it's the extra
channel that is wrong--it shouldn't exist as any channel, period. There's no way to report this fallacy through the interface.
