OneGuide app support on new/old Xboxes

Many Series X/S owners have reported that the OneGuide app is not and cannot be installed on the new Xboxes. Although without the HDMI input, it wouldn't be possible to use a cable box, the Hauppauge USB Xbox tuner is supported (according to Hauppauge) and
could be used on the new products if OneGuide is supported.

So: has Microsoft made an official statement that OneGuide won't be supported on the Series X/S Xboxes?

And, assuming this is the case whether officially announced or not, does this mean that OneGuide support on the Xbox Ones will also go by the wayside sooner/later? By support, I mean bug fixes and accurate/timely OTA TV channel guide data, not product enhancements.
While this may seem to be obvious, Microsoft still is making/selling the Xbox One S, and Hauppauge is still selling the Xbox USB OTA tuner as a supported product.

Anybody know for sure?

The new Xboxes do not contain HDMI out, so they dont support it.

Windows Media Center was retired in a similar fashion, still a tragedy as its still the best DVR software ive used

They have officially responded on reddit:

"OneGuide, including the guide, TV controls, and TV streaming, were removed from the Windows versions of the Xbox app. To use OneGuide on Windows, get the Xbox One SmartGlass app in the Windows Store. OneGuide is still part of the Xbox app on iOS and Android."

OneGuide is the function for what you are looking for. Either say "Xbox OneGuide" or "x" I believe within the TV app.

Hi there, all people in mobile devices have this problem, Xbox app in New version of Xbox app for mobiles not supported sending captures, I recommend if you want you can install a old version of Xbox app, and install Xbox app beta, so then you have new and old versions

I just checked the OneGuide on my Xbox One X in Canada and it was able to successfully load up the proper channel listings for my Rogers Toronto cable feed including US channel information. I was going to report it as faulty in case it was a OneGuide App
issue as happened last December but can't do so at this time because it appears to be working fine for me.

If you would like to provide additional data to Microsoft for troubleshooting (ie maybe USA, Australia etc support is not aware of OneGuide issues) even if you don't have your console in the Dashboard Preview program, try downloading the Xbox Insider app.
Once app is installed, press and hold the Xbox nexus button on your controller...then select the Report a Problem button. Select Apps as the category, then OneGuide as the sub-category and enter in your problem title and description.
