Oneguide and Virgin Media (SMT-C7101) not working?

Hello,

I have a 1tb Samsung SMT-C7101 virgin media TiVo box and have not been able to use Oneguide with it. I have read that similar versions of the box work (I can see the TV itself but just not use any of the Oneguide controls).

I have tried setting it up with 'Virgin Media' as the brand and 'TiVo' as one forum member suggested but no joy. I have tried the actual model number above but it is not on the list. I have also tried clicking on similar model numbers but it does not work.
Also, the automatic one (where it should power the box off) did not manage to turn it off.

Any suggestions, I would really appreciate it!

I have the 1tb version of this box (SMT-C7101) and the Xbox One won't interact with it at all. It appears not to be supported. Can someone please confirm, I'm gutted!

virgin media channel number change

xbox oneguide has been working fine with virgin media since its launch.

ive now noticed virgin has changed its channel numbers. so sky 1 for eg was 122 and its now 109.

so if i ask xbox to watch sky 1 it nows shows sky living (the new 122) instead.

is there something i can do to change oneguide so it has the new listings numbers or is this something that will have to be fixed in an update ?

I assume that if I knew the remote code then through the settings I might be able to get it working? If anyone has this set up, I would love some help.

I have this all set up with the Virgin Media TiVo as you have said about the remote code I use 'C3265' I don't know if that will help you. When I set up mine I used the Cable or satellite box setup as this worked for me first time.

Hey Dunners,

Do you have a Kinect or IR extension cable, as one or both is required to control your STB and TV.

From using the UEISupport.com site, it appears that the following codesets may work to control your device (in priority order, it's likely to be one of the first 2):

-1060

-2563

-2441

-3265

-1434

-1987

-1927

-2047

-0864

You can enter these codesets in from TV & OneGuide settings -> Device control -> Cable/sat box -> Enter remote code.

That's a nice workaround for the on/off issue, I'll give that a go with my Virgin Media Tivo.

It doesn't look like there's that much moaning going on about lack of OneGuide in the UK. This was a primary reason why I bought my Xbox (my kids have a different view). I want to cancel my Virgin subscription, buy a cheap PVR with Freeview and let the Xbox
do all the work. Has anyone heard anything about launch dates? It's clearly not in the March update, but is it in the works? The 50Hz fix is step in the right direction, but that is a bug. The missing OneGuide is pretty poor seeing that the "All in one" device
was the way the Xbox One was originally marketed and a major reason why non-gamers would get excited about it, and in my case buy it. But then you have to live in the US... that's shoddy and is not made clear before purchase.

If you're listening Microsoft, when are we getting the OneGuide in the UK? And "2014" is not the precision I'm looking for....
