OneCast streaming (Can't find/connect Xbox One S IP adress)

Hello!

Just bought my first Xbox and did not think for a second that the compatibility with an iMac wasn't the greatest thing haha. Therefore I downloaded "OneCast", the streaming program for iOS users to stream your xbox onto a device with iOS. When I'm clicking
"Regiter Xbox One" on the first pop up after having downloaded the program, another window pops up which says: "No devices found on the network! To attempt a manual registration, please enter the IP adress of your Xbox One below:"; showing another window where
I can manually put in an IP adress. The problem is that I've tried using the one my iMac is connected to and the same message keeps coming back. Any solutions?

PS. I don't know what category to put this under.

I do need to get it started on something else first then if I understand it correctly? You mean I'll find the IP adress while using the console itself on let's say another TV? Thank you for the fast reply!

You can find the IP address of the console by tapping the Guide button then scrolling all the way right and click on Settings, then Network then Network Settings. If you click on Advanced Settings you can then see the IP address of the console.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help!

You first need to make your Xbox discoverable to other devices. You'll need to physically connect the Xbox to a display using the HDMI cable provided in order to set it up and select these options. Open the Xbox guide and go to Settings. Then, go to Preferences
and go to Xbox app connectivity. Make sure "Allow connections from any device" is selected and check the two boxes on the right to allow streaming. This is meant for game streaming with the first party Xbox app but you need to make sure this is allowed when
using a third party app.

I recommend disconnecting your router and modem for about 5 minutes and also restart your iMac and Xbox. Try to open the app and search for the Xbox on the same home network.

If it fails to find the Xbox, you will need to give the OneCast app the Xbox's IP address. Open up your Xbox guide and go into Network settings. Click on Advanced settings and your console's IP address will be displayed.

Give that a try and let us know the results!
