    Hi all

    My son tells me he received a one year xbox live gold card as a present around a year ago and redeemed it. I've checked and confirmed that I've still been paying the monthly subscription during that time. If I cancel the auto renew payment can we get the
    pre-paid subscription period applied to the account as at the moment it seems we've effectively paid twice for a year?

    Yes, you can still use it on your account. There will be no difference between using one of these pre-paid cards or purchasing your subscription for one year as you were allowed in the past.
