ONE X won't connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi networks

Did you ever get a solution? mine has started doing this too

It worked one time.

Now it's back to "Can't connect to your wireless network".

Before my post, I already completely reset both the console and the router and it didn't change.

No MAC addresses are being filtered by my router.

Try resetting your network settings on your Xbox One X. Go to "Settings" > "Network" > "Network Settings" > "Advanced settings" > "DNS settings" and choose "Automatic".

If your Wi-Fi network uses MAC address filtering, make sure that your Xbox One X's MAC address is added to the allowed list.

If none of the above steps work, you may need to try resetting your console to factory settings.

So this is EXACTLY the issue I'm having. Just bought a Cisco/Linksys E4200 for the sole purpose of using the 2.4 Ghz Wifi network for most of my home network needs and using the 5 Ghz network exclusively for streaming Media Center to the Xbox. Bought a new
black Wifi N dongle for my Xbox 360 Elite, but no luck. I can connect to the 2.4 Ghz network, but get network congestion issues and such-- It sees the 5 Ghz network, but won't connect. I've returned the xbox dongle and replaced it with another to no avail.
Any ideas? Sounds like a well known problem here-- but didn't ever see a resolution! If its just an issue with the E4200, I may have to return it and get something else. Recommendations? How do I fix this?

Sorry about that issue but wifi disconnection are 99,99999 % of the time due to a conflict with another devices.

If your router can provide 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz as wifi signal, try both and stay with the best one.
