One X freezing

    One X freezing


    My xbox keeps freezing as I use it. Sometimes for a couple of seconds, sometimes for 20 or more. It's happened mid game a lot, also when browsing the menu in game or even browsing the web.

    It's made Wolfenstein unplayable.

    Any one else had similar issues?

    xbox one x freezing

    Recently purchased 2 xbix consoles(about a month) both consoles within last 2 days while playing games freeze up such as D2 CoD WWII The division . any one w advice or similar issues ?

    Nothing but problems with my Xbox one x scorpio since day of release. Benn for repair no change still awful.

    try to go to Setting, then System, then Console, last Console Reset, Pick option to KEEP ALL GAMES AND APPS, now after do set up and download profile, then test and see if any change

    Hi,

    thanks for that.

    I reset the console and did a manual setup. This didn't seem to make a great deal of difference.

    However I then tried unplugging the LAN cable and using WiFi and that seems to have sorted it.

    So it's looks like it's an issue with using the network card.

    This is the EXACT issue I am seeing with my console. Dashboard lag so bad that only when I disconnect my gigabit fios connection, does it work smooth as butter. I have cleared the cache, done a complete system reset...nothing works. The last resort was to
    contact mikester01 on the xboxone subreddit forums and give him my consoles serial number. They are looking into it. I bet you that the NIC inside these things may be a bit wonky. Hopefully they find something. The games and apps area stutters so bad along
    with the regular cycling through the menus, sucks right now. Thanks for your post, thought I was going crazy.

    Xbox One X games freezing.

    I'll get the occasional freeze on the One and the X and they both make a loud buzzing sound when they freeze.

    Are you on an Xbox One X, by chance? There were some known issues in Metro Exodus with crashing and freezing on the Xbox One X, sadly. Hopefully these issues will be getting patched very soon.
