One X controller disconnects with headset attached

Im using a Plantronics RIG 500 HX and my controller keeps randomly disconnecting. Ive tried changing batteries, resetting the controller and using the USB cable to connect it to the xbox. When the controller disconnects and tries to reset itself, i can pull
the headset out of the controller and the controller starts working fine.

Before the RIG headset, i was using an afterglow lvl 3 and had the exact same problem. But whenever i connect the controller to the xbox, it works fine. Usually I will hear cracking and sound going in and out before the controller resets itself. PLEASE
HELP BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON!!

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with connecting the headset to the Xbox One X controller.

I recommend taking a look at the following troubleshooting articles:

Try connecting the Xbox to the Wall instead of an extension cord or surge protector.

Try this out and let us know the results.

Turn off and disconnect all controllers from the Xbox 360 and disconnect the wireless headsets from the controllers.

Connect the wireless headset to the Xbox 360 using the USB cable. Turn on the wireless headset.

Sync the headset to quadrant 1 by pressing the "Connect" button on the on the Xbox 360. Then press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset for two seconds. Do not continue to press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset, as this will change the
quadrant to which it is connected. If the headset now works without the controllers attached, the problem must be with one of your controllers. If the headset still does not work, then the problem is with the headset.

Nothing works fine until the headset disconnects. Then the controller also disconnects and then I have to reconnect by pressing the button on the x box
