    One specific friend isn't listed online until we join a party together


    I haven't had any problems except for this. I have one specific friend who never shows up as being online until after we join a party or play a game together. Sometimes I'll get a party invite from him even though he is listed as being offline. None of
    his other friends have noticed the issue. All of our privacy settings appear to be the same also. Any idea what the issue could be?

    Party chat broke since update today

    Friends cant join my party when they try it starts a party one friend has been able to join me but 3 other friends are in party together and we cant join them

    Party Chat Issues

    My friends and I have been having constant issues with Xbox party chat...we get “network settings are blocking party chat” errors but it only happens when certain people are online. For example when there are five of us trying to chat together. If I try
    to join the party and one specific friend is in the party it says my network setting block party chat however if that friend leaves the party then there are no issues. This happens with random pairs in our group of friends. We have all tried the different

    Hi CamelSlayr,

    There are two options in the anyone's profile screen called "Appearing Online or Appearing Offline" or in the privacy setting your friend(the person who is appearing offline) may have blocked people from seeing him online.

    and at any time the guy can change these setting so he can appear offline or blocked anyone from seeing him online and vice versa . I suggest you contact him and ask if he has blocked or is appearing offline.

    How do i play with friends? Me and my friends always appear offline. Can't send messages to each other, can't send game invites.

    They appear offline both in friend list and in game

    My NAT is open, my friend has moderate. He couldn't get it to be open in any way.

    We are all connecting using cable.

    We checked all settings many times.

    One other thing. We have one friend that appears online and we can join him. When we both join him in Forza Horizon 4 we can play together, but it's only when that one friend is also playing. We still appear offline to each other and to him. And without him
    we have no way to join a game together.

    Your party chat system is shocking!!

    Why do I have to turn the party chat on when I join? Just silly. The whole interface needs a huge update. Party, friends list, recent players, ect. Why do I have to choose only friends online? No one wants to look at all of their offline friends right
    when they get online. I can't wait until all of this gets fixed.

    Communication problems?

    Myself and my group have been having significant communication, partying up, and general "glitches" with this release. Sometimes we can't talk to each (in game or even in a party). Also, we have been having issues just partying up. Usually one member
    can't join with the group and we have to keep switching party leader until we can all join together. Some of my friends have to do hard resets several times a day just to play the game. Really a shocking launch for a game.
