One s weird update problem

Just bought my one s 500GB a last week and have picked up a few games for it so far. The night I boght it it did all the system ypdates and then I put in halo 5. It popped up a message about needing an update which I agreed to without really paying any
attention to it and let it get started while I did some other things around the house. Came back a few hours later hoping it would be close to fiished on my slow internet connection (3Mbps) and saw that it was downloading a file that was over 40GB. I just
thought it was a really big update and let it finish which took several days. A few days ago I picked up battlefront and stuck it in and it said it needed an update which i dont remember the size of but recall it saying something like 6GB. I started the
download before bed that night thinking it would be done the next day, but again it showed that it was downloading a file over 40GB when I looked to see how far along it was. I let it spend a few days downloading again. Today I picked up the division and
put it in to download the updates and it said it needed an ipdate around 9GB. So this time I started the download and instantly when in to see what it was doingand it showed it was downloading about 36GB. I stopped the download and backed back out and tried
to launch the game qhich prompted me to download again which I cancelled and this time it proceexed to install the game which took about half an hour and now its downloading the update which is the correct size.

It seems that if I dont install the game first before the update that it is downloading the entire game and the updates. I came straight from the 360 to the one s, so maybe this is the way it is designed to work but it seems like it should not be doing
it that way. Am I missing something here in the settings or will I just have to remember to always manually install the game before doing the updates.

Xbox One S weird graphics problem

My Xbox one S is just one month old and I already have problem. Since yesterday when I launched a game (AC: Origins) after a patch for this game has finally been downloaded, I noticed that the graphics are terrible! Its like i switched it for "low" quality,
the objects in distance are all pixelised and they only get back to normal when I get close to them. The terrain, water, grass are all flat and look very bad. I checked other games (Forza Horizon 3) and its the same problem.

It was never like that, only since yesterday this problem occurs. I have TV 4k UHD with maximaized graphic settings both on TV and console. I already tried hard resetting the console and factory reset, didnt work.

Can anyone help me?

Xbox Oe X Scorpio HDR Washed Out

Hi,

same here : Xbox One S + LG OLED B7 TV

This is weird because a few days ago colors were OK (not washed out) with bluray 4K HDR.

I wonder if the problem comes from last LG firmware or Xbox fall update.

I think this is LG's fault as the update is more recent (they added dolby atmos decoding to the tv and maybe this bug)

 

Tried to fix the crappy spelling from typing that on my phone and say that I wasn't sure if it was in the right forum, but it won't let me edit the post.

 

Im thinking you would definitely need the game installed before an update would be applied otherwise there would be nothing to update! Maybe it recognises you own the game legitimately and then attempts to download the digital files. Its not a problem
that's ever cropped up for me, but as long as you install first and then just get the appropriate size downloads for updates shouldn't be a problem in the future.
