One S hdmi passthrough?

Since the One S doesn't have the tv app anymore how do you play other devices through it? The One S has an HDMI in port so I would assume it is still possible.

Can xbox one s use the pc monitor with hdmi connection, so that i dont need to use tv to play xbox one s. I will just use pc monitor with hdmi connection.tks

60hz to run 4k on the s

You sue you got your Xbox One S plugged into HDMI 1? some TV's only display 4K over HDMI 1.

Works just fine as long as you don't expect it to pass 4k through... The app is still there.

Indeed the app is still present; if you have the Kinect sensor you can go to it by saying one of the following:

Xbox - go to TV.

Hey, Cortana - go to TV.

I think the newest update allows you to use a headset too though I can't confirm this since I use a headset and disabled Cortana, (personal preferences).

Unfortunately, no. The HDMI passthrough on the Xbox One S does not support 4K.

Sorry, but the Xbox One must be turned on to enable HDMI passthrough.

So are you saying you plugged your cable box into the HDMI passthrough on the One X?

If the cable box is defaulting to a lower resolution when connected into the Xbox One X's HDMI passthrough, you should be able to adjust the display output in the cable box's settings menu.
